AI cervical cancer diagnostic solution “Cerviray AI” enters the Indonesian market
AIDOT succeeds in Indonesian regulatory registration and commercialization
AIDOT (CEO Jeong Jae-hoon) announced on the 19th that its AI cervical cancer diagnostic system “Cerviray” has completed official regulatory registration with Indonesia’s MOH (Ministry of Health) and has begun full-scale expansion into the Indonesian market.
Cerviray will be supplied nationwide to local obstetrics and gynecology clinics and screening centers through Pyridam Farma, a major Indonesian pharmaceutical company.
After participating in a meetup event hosted by the Incheon Center for Creative Economy & Innovation in September 2020, AIDOT has been conducting clinical work and validation with Indonesian local companies. Subsequently, through an overseas demonstration testbed program in Indonesia, the company completed not only verification of Cerviray AI via Pyridam Farma and a local OB-GYN network, but also local system setup, including an Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud system.
Indonesia is made up of more than 18,000 islands, of which about 6,000 are inhabited. In Indonesia, cervical cancer ranks first in incidence among women’s cancers, and the country is making significant national-level efforts to eradicate cervical cancer.
Jo A-ra, assistant manager in AIDOT’s Global Marketing team, said, “Given Indonesia’s geographic conditions and environment, we were able to confirm that Cerviray is the optimal solution as the most efficient system for initial cervical cancer screening in the local context,” adding, “We will do our utmost to support and work toward eradicating cervical cancer in Indonesia.”
CEO Jeong Jae-hoon said, “AIDOT’s successful entry into Indonesia has once again served as an opportunity for Korea’s outstanding AI medical ICT to be recognized in the global market,” adding, “Contract signings and regulatory registration work with key Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam and the Philippines are nearing the final stage, and we expect visible results within this year.”
He also said, “Contracts and projects have begun not only in Bolivia in South America but also in CIS countries such as Uzbekistan, laying the groundwork for a global leap,” adding, “Based on these achievements, we will strengthen our pipeline so that AIDOT’s AI medical solutions can expand further.”
