AIDOT (CEO Jeong Jae-hoon) announced on the 12th that regulatory approval for Cerviray AI was officially registered with Uzbekistan’s MOH (Ministry of Health) on April 27.
The registration was carried out at the request of Uzbekistan’s National Cancer Center (Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology). AIDOT recently signed a supply contract with Uzbekistan’s GSG Group.
Under this agreement, installation of a screening camera and server system using Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been completed, and a pilot test covering 6,600 cases is currently underway using the system. Once testing is completed and commercialization begins, cervical cancer screening services are expected to expand across all regions of Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan has primarily used HPV (human papillomavirus) testing for cervical cancer screening. However, HPV testing involves cost issues such as the need for facilities to test collected samples and the training of specialized personnel, and Uzbek authorities have faced difficulties expanding screening volume. Because Cerviray AI can conduct screening anywhere as long as there is an environment with internet access, it quickly emerged as an alternative to existing tests.
On April 12, at the request of Uzbekistan’s National Cancer Center, AIDOT held a Cerviray AI Global Web-seminar.
The seminar first introduced a paper titled “The Role of Artificial Intelligence Interpretation of Colposcopic Images in Cervical Cancer Screening,” which addresses how AI increases the accuracy of cervical cancer screening. It then proceeded with lectures on the proper use of Cerviray AI and how AI can be applied in cervical cancer screening.
Heo Chan, deputy manager of AIDOT’s Global Sales & Marketing Team, said, “Through this seminar, we showed local medical staff in Uzbekistan that AI-assisted cervical cancer screening can be a new alternative that supplements or replaces existing screening methods,” adding, “Through local commercialization, we aim to provide Uzbek women with broader access to cervical cancer screening services.”
