AIDOT received the Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KIBO) Chairperson’s Award at the 1st Smart Korea Forum, held on the morning of the 17th at The Plaza Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul.

The award plaque was presented directly to AIDOT by Jeong Yun-mo, Chairperson of the Korea Technology Finance Corporation.

At the forum—hosted by Aju News Corporation, the overseas edition of People’s Daily, and Hong Kong’s Ta Kung Wen Wei PoAIDOT was highly recognized for its AI-based remote interpretation system for cervical cancer and for its development of a carotid ultrasound solution in the field of cerebral hemorrhage.

AIDOT has become the world’s first to succeed in developing and commercializing an AI system for remote diagnosis of cervical cancer. Through joint research with obstetrics and gynecology faculty at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital and Korea University Anam Hospital, it applied its own proprietary algorithm that reflects the expertise and know-how of specialist physicians who perform real-world interpretations.

Based on test results issued by the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA), an accredited certification body, the AI achieved 93% sensitivity and 89% specificity, already securing higher accuracy than conventional cervical cytology tests.

This year in July, AIDOT’s AI system for remote cervical cancer diagnosis was exported to China for approximately USD 120,000. For the Vietnam market, it completed a joint market-entry contract worth USD 1.7 million annually. The company is also pursuing expansion into Europe and North America, as well as Indonesia, Russia, Bangladesh, Laos, Kenya, and Paraguay.

AIDOT is also working to create jobs. In 2020, it hired seven new employees, bringing its total headcount to 16—a 60% increase compared to 10 employees in January of this year.

CEO Jeong Jae-hoon said, “As our overseas business grows and expands, we are planning an aggressive hiring push of more than 20 people next year,” adding, “We will continue to be a company that leads job growth.”
