AIDOT Co., Ltd. announced on the 10th that it has been finally selected for the Global Innovation Zone Innovation Project, which is hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute for the Advancement of Technology, overcoming fierce competition. Through this project, AIDOT will conduct localization and practical on-site trials in the United States for its AI-based gastrointestinal endoscopy diagnostic solution, specifically its colonoscopy diagnostic support solution, "Colon dot AI." Within the company, the selection is expected to add momentum to ongoing business collaborations with US partners. AIDOT mentioned that two years ago, they had already implemented an embedded “One-product” solution with a local US partner and completed additional clinical studies with hospitals affiliated with Stanford University. With this project, AIDOT aims to obtain FDA approval for Colon dot AI and successfully enter the US market through various forms of collaboration. Jaehoon Jung, CEO of AIDOT, said, "Our US partners are very pleased that the pilot project will be carried out in North America, where colorectal cancer rates are high." He added, "The superiority of our AI for colorectal cancer lesion detection has already been validated, so through this pilot project, we expect to see tangible results for the entry of Korea’s excellent AI medical solutions into the North American market."
