Original article link AIDOT Co., Ltd. announced on September 3 that it has been finally selected for the ‘Gangwon AI Healthcare Global Innovation Zone: AI Healthcare Company Nurturing Support Project’ hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Gangwon Province. The AI healthcare company nurturing support project aims to expand the global market presence for AI healthcare companies, supporting △new industry demonstration liability insurance and △local demonstration and overseas certification. AIDOT was selected specifically in the "local demonstration support" category, which helps Gangwon Innovation Zone companies enhance and globalize their products. Through this project, AIDOT plans to conduct overseas validation of its AI gastroscopy solution, GIGA dot AI, in Indonesia. With past experience exporting to Japan, the company aims to proactively expand into other Asian countries using this know-how. In particular, leveraging the results of this validation, AIDOT plans to further maximize its export capabilities in 2025 by targeting countries in the Greater China region—where gastric cancer prevalence is relatively high—and by providing even more advanced, user-friendly solutions. Jaehoon Jung, CEO of AIDOT, commented, “For Asia, where the rate of gastric cancer is high, and the US, where colorectal cancer is more prevalent, we have already been planning to refine and localize our AI solutions for gastroscopy and colonoscopy by region. We expect this overseas validation project to accelerate our global business expansion even further.”
