AIDOT Co., Ltd. announced on July 16 that it is carrying out agreements with six provincial governments in Vietnam by supporting key hospitals with its AI cervical cancer diagnosis system, Cerviray A.I. At the Korea-Vietnam Future Economic Cooperation Forum, part of the 2024 Korea-Vietnam Partnership Plus Week Program hosted by KOTRA, a donation ceremony was held at the New World Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City to provide Cerviray devices to major hub hospitals in Vietnam. The event was attended by 150 key officials from the governments and business communities of Korea and Vietnam, as well as media representatives. This initiative is aimed at increasing the cervical cancer screening rate among Vietnamese women. AIDOT, together with the Gangwon Province Vietnam Office and local medical device company VKIC, will provide Cerviray devices and examinations free of charge to major hub hospitals. During the event’s detailed program—“Gangwon-do AI Solution Seminar”—Cerviray was introduced to Vietnamese provincial government officials and medical staff. Jaehoon Jung, CEO of AIDOT, said, “Vietnam reports 4,132 new cases of cervical cancer and 2,223 deaths among women annually. Due to insufficient medical infrastructure, women often cannot undergo regular and appropriate screenings. The lack of infrastructure also makes cytology and HPV testing unsuitable, and the existing VIA (Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid) screening method is limited due to a shortage of qualified medical staff and interpreting physicians. Cerviray, which assists with AI-based VIA interpretation and enables remote specialist reading from major cities, can provide an effective solution.”
