AIDOT Ranked #1 at Northeast Asia (Korea-China) Innovation Forum

AIDOT (CEO Jung Jae-hoon), a startup nurtured by the Incheon Center for Creative Economy & Innovation, drew attention by taking first place among eight finalist companies at the Korea-China joint innovation forum.

The 2020 Northeast Asia (Korea-China) Innovation Forum & Project IR Roadshow was held on October 15, jointly hosted by the Incheon Center and the Dalian Science & Technology Innovation Entrepreneurship Service Center. The event was part of China’s “2020 National Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week” (Shuang-Chuang Week), announced by Premier Li Keqiang, and was simultaneously broadcast from Korea Economic TV (Korea) and Dalian Broadcasting Center (China).

Among the six Korean and two Chinese companies that reached the final round, AIDOT’s AI-based cervical cancer screening solution, “Cerviray AI,” earned first place.

Cerviray AI was highly praised for aligning with the Chinese government’s women’s health policy (“Women and Children Development Priority”) and for its ability to integrate efficiently and innovatively into China’s cervical cancer screening system, which traditionally relies on cytology-based testing.

The Chinese judging panel commented:“High-quality AI in bio-healthcare requires data validated by medical experts. In the case of AIDOT, the system incorporates opinions from leading Korean physicians, which significantly increases its value. We hope that this joint Korea-China research will demonstrate how this solution can greatly contribute to preventing cervical cancer among Chinese women.”

CEO Jung Jae-hoon of AIDOT stated: “Winning first place objectively proves that AIDOT’s technology and business model resonate with the Chinese market. It confirms that differentiating AI technology with a globally competitive business model provides real global market advantage in AI-based medical ICT.”

AIDOT is currently actively commercializing its solutions in Shenzhen and Beijing, China, and plans to expand investment following this recognition. Since its founding in June 2014, AIDOT has been recognized for its technological capabilities through selection as a KIC China and Incheon Center incubated company, as well as multiple government projects. The company’s AI-based cervical cancer screening system, Cerviray AI, has expanded into markets in China and Southeast Asia, with global market ambitions.
