Medical AI company AIDOT announced on the 1st that Cerviray, its AI-based cervical cancer solution, has completed certification under ISO 13485, the international standard for quality management systems.
Through this certification, AIDOT expects to gain momentum to promote and supply the Cerviray system more aggressively in the Southeast Asian and South American countries it is currently developing, and believes it will open a path to officially export the product to those markets.
The company also plans to complete European CE certification in the near future.
This year, AIDOT participated in multiple international online exhibitions and roadshows, signed supply contracts with healthcare companies in Vietnam, Paraguay, and India, and has secured export performance of more than KRW 3 billion in the first half of 2021 alone.
In addition, through overseas IR events and roadshows hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the Korea International Trade Association, and KOTRA, it pursued meetings with companies in 16 countries—more than 40 firms in total—and also secured prospective customers totaling 25 companies across 11 countries.
An AIDOT official said, “We have completed all preparations, including certification procedures, so that Cerviray can be supplied immediately, including ISO 13485,” adding, “This is a case in which a domestic AI medical ICT solution has been recognized overseas and has led to actual exports.”
This year, AIDOT received the Korea Technology Finance Corporation Chairperson’s Award at the 1st Smart Korea Awards, and won the TTA Chairperson’s Award at the 7th Korea SW Product Quality Awards.
The company also reports a continued string of honors, including confirmation of a 2020 Minister’s Commendation from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
CEO Jeong Jae-hoon said, “Having been validated in overseas markets, Cerviray is scheduled to re-enter the domestic medical market in the first half of 2021,” adding, “We will work to ensure that Cerviray can serve as a model that benefits and coexists with medical professionals in Korea.”
